Announcements for June 8, 2015

A huge congratulations to Kaelyn R. who received gold in shot put, silver in the 100 meters race and bronze in the 200 meters race.  Everyone did a great job despite being rained on for most of the day.

Thank you to all the staff and students who supported Ford’s ride and drive event last Friday.  It was a great success due to those who participated.

Attention all Student Council members, please see Ms. Paragg in room 210 between period 1 and 2.

Any students who would like to keep their ART work from this year must collect it by Friday, June 12.

Attention all grade 12s, this is your last call to purchase tickets to the Graduation dinner reception and select tables.  Please see Ms. Gosselin in room 106 for more information.  The deadline to select your tables is Thursday, June 11th.

All grads - the Safe Grad Tickets will be available Thursday June 11 and 12 from 12:10 - 12:45 in the front link.  Reminder that the ticket for Grads is covered by fundraising but the guest tickets are $10.00 each.  All Safe Grad forms must be submitted to the office before you can get your tickets.

Any student of Philippine Heritage who is interested in becoming part of the Youth Filipino Business Council please see Ms Grant for information.

Attention any graduating students who are planning to attend the University of Manitoba.  There is a $5000 Bursary for students with a minimum average of 80% and who can demonstrate that they are in financial need based on a government student loan assessment. Please see Mrs. Palmer if you have any questions.

Students participating in the field trip to Rainbow Stage tomorrow, you will be participating in a performance workshop which may be outside. Please dress appropriately for the workshop and weather. Bus pick-up will be at 8:30am and students will be returning for 3:30pm. Considering it is a full day field trip, you will need to bring a bag lunch.

Any students who have parking pass for the student parking please return to the office ASAP.  You will still be allowed to park in the student lot after you have returned the pass for the remainder of the school year.

Any grade 10 - 12 student interested in a summer job at a City of Winnipeg library please see Ms Grant for more information

Informnet Summer School Registration will be available until Tuesday July 7, 2015. Cost is $200 for each course.  The online summer school program is open to all students in Manitoba who have not successfully completed a course during the school year or to students who wish to improve a passing grade.  Forms are available online with www.informnet.mb.ca or see Mrs. Palmer at the office.

Just a reminder to staff and students: Tomorrow we will begin our provincial math exams.  We will
have morning announcements and warning bells will be turned off.
