Announcements for February 6,, 2015

Did you know that if you are at least 17 years of age and in good health you are eligible to donate blood?  We are encouraging people to donate blood between Feb 14 and Feb 21st.  Call 1-888-2donate to book an appointment with the Canadian Blood Services.  Check out Blood Drive - Be the Match posters around the school for more information.  See Mrs. Palmer if you have any questions.

Please make sure you have paid for your yearbook for next year as the order will be submitted today.

If any art students from last semester have not picked up their artwork and supplies from Ms. Krahn, please do so today.

Lunch hour musical rehearsals begin on Monday February 9th in the basement. Please ensure you know what numbers you are in and when you are scheduled to rehearse by checking the list on the choral room door or on the blog and google calendar.

It is time to dodge, duck, dip, and dive. Yes its intramural dodgeball time. It is open gym all this week to play. Get some friends and enter a team. Sign your team up outside of gym A on the bulletin board. League play will start next week.

John Taylor’s Open House is Thursday, Feb. 12th from 6 – 9 p.m.  Please see Ms. Paragg by Friday if you would like to volunteer.

Attention Grads…Grad photos will take place on Feb. 17-20 & 23.  Please see the office to book your time slot and to pick up an information sheet.  For those students you have a full schedule, noon hours slots are available.  As well, there is a $20 sitting fee due at the time of your scheduled appointment.

Reminder to all mathletes that the Pascal, Cayley and Fermat contests will run TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2015. Please see your math teacher by this Friday to Register.

Attention all Pipers! The theme of this year's Gym Blast will be based on the Divergent Series. Sign-up sheets are found by Ms. Paragg's room, room 109. Deadline to join a team is Wednesday, February 11th. Don't miss out on one of the largest school events of the year!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and Valentine Candy grams will be on sale From Monday, February 9 - Thursday, February 12th. Each candy gram is 50 cents, and all proceeds will be donated to Free the Children.

If anyone has found a Pandora bracelet, last seen in the gym bleachers, please hand it in to the office.
