Announcements for February 10, 2015

Attention Youth In Philanthropy Committee: There is a mandatory meeting being held today at 12:10 in Ms. Paragg's room.

Attention students who were enrolled in Woods Class first semester.  Your wooden cars are available for pick up in the office.  Any unclaimed cars will be discarded by the end of the week.

There will be a short 5 minute meeting of all Yearbook members tomorrow at 12 noon sharp. Please come straight to the room as the meeting will be very quick. Anyone not able to attend at 12 noon should see Mr. Kutcy ASAP. Attendance is mandatory!

If you would like to work out in the fitness centre during the open house this Thursday from 7-8:30 see Mr. Vermette as soon as you can.

Are you 17 years of age or older and would like to donate blood?  We have arranged for a bus to take us from JT to the blood services building on Friday February 20 at 9:00 and 10:00.
Please come by the office to sign up and get your fieldtrip forms. Please see Mrs. Palmer if you have any questions.

We have received information regarding a few scholarships that are available for students who have participated in volunteer activities this year in grade 9, 10, 11, or 12. If you would like more information about these scholarships please stop in and see Ms Grant in room 201 (The Guidance Room).

Any boys interested in joining team Handball this year, the sign-up sheet is located outside of gym A/B

One last chance to order Grad clothing.  Action Apparel will be here on Wed. Feb. 25th and Thurs. Feb. 26th at lunch hour to take orders for grad hoodies or sweats.

Attention all Grads:  We need your help to fundraise for decorations and fun stuff to make the dinner experience for Grad fantastic.  Cookie dough order forms can be picked up starting today on Mrs. Penner's door, room 113.  Please have all money and forms to Mrs. Penner by Feb. 25.  Help make your Grad great.

Grad photos will take place on Feb. 17-20 & 23.  Please see the office to book your time slot and to pick up an information sheet.  For those students you have a full schedule, noon hours slots are available.  As well, there is a $20 sitting fee due at the time of your scheduled appointment.

On February 19, 2015, the Safe Grad Committee will be at John Taylor from 5:30pm to 7:00pm for ticket sales for the March 7th Bud Spud and Steak Safe Grad Fundraiser. Purchase your tickets on this night, both support and/or dinner, and you will get one ballot per ticket for a chance to win two tickets to the March 19, 2015 JETS GAME against St. Louis Blues.Draw will be done at the end of the ticket sales.  Any grads attending also have to purchase tickets. If are under 18, you can still attend, but must leave the premises of TYC by 9pm.

Attention all Grad Committee members, this Thursday's lunch hour meeting will be changed to Friday, Feb. 13th to accommodate a guest speaker.

Attention all Pipers! The theme of this year's Gym Blast will be based on the Divergent Series. Sign-up sheets are found by Ms. Paragg's room, room 109. Deadline to join a team is tomorrow. Don't miss out on one of the largest school events of the year!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and Valentine Candy grams will be on sale From Monday, February 9 - Thursday, February 12th. Each candy gram is 50 cents, and all proceeds will be donated to Free the Children.
