JT Announcements January 20, 2014

Students who have misplaced their second semester timetable need to make arrangements in the office to have another schedule printed this week or during exam week.

Please check out the exam seating list on the bulletin board outside of the office.  Please see Mrs. Palmer if you have any questions.
--
A huge thank you to all the Jazz Bands, Choir, Vocal Jazz, and Dance students who made Friday's Jazz Cafe a great success. Thanks also to Ms Carter, Ms Botincan, Ms Krahn, Mr Kutcy, Ms Palmer, and Ms Morris, and all the student and parent volunteers we could not have done this without you.
--
Congratulations to the JV Girls Basketball Team who were consolation champs at the Westwood tournament over the weekend. A special shout-out to Jade S., Sienna M., and Kiana S. who were named players of the game.
--
Attention all Peer Mentors: today is the last day to hand in your permission forms for Festival du Voyageur.
--
Creative Writing Club will meet in room 205 at lunch today.
--
Students wanting a 2013 - 2014 Yearbook should check the list in the front link. If your name is not on that list, that means you have not paid for a yearbook and won't be able to get one. Please check the list and make sure that you are not disappointed!

If your name is not on the list, bring $20 in to the office before the end of the month. You will not be able to buy one later, this is your last chance to get your John Taylor 50th Anniversary Edition Yearbook!
--
The French oratorical speaking competition will take place here at John Taylor Collegiate in March.  Please see Ms. Armistead if you would like to participate or volunteer.
--
Do you want to travel somewhere in Canada and learn French this summer?  See Ms. Armistead in room 303 if you'd like to know more.  You do NOT have to take French to apply.
--
John Taylor will be collecting old and used sports clothing and equipment for KidSport Canada, to be given to underprivileged kids in Manitoba. Lists of most needed items will be posted, however all items will be accepted. You can drop off all donations in the office. Thank you for helping in need kids to play the sports we all love.
