Announcements for September 21, 2015

Attention all students who are parking in scrambled parking.  We will be checking for parking passes this week.  If you do not have a valid parking pass displayed, your vehicle will be towed.  Please visit our website if you wish to purchase a parking pass online for the school year.  There are limited spots available and is on a first come first serve basis.

Attention all students. If you are interested in holding a grade rep position on the student council, application forms are due to Ms. Paragg by Tuesday, September 22nd at 12:00pm. Forms are still available outside her room, room 109.

There will be a short student council meeting on Tuesday, September 22nd at 12:05pm for Executive members in Ms. Paragg's room, room 109.

Attention all Grade 12s who are fundraising with Peak of the Market for grad..all orders and money are due to Ms. Gosselin in room 106 by Wed. Sept. 23/15 at 3:30 pm.  Students can see Ms. Gosselin if they need an order form.  Vegetable delivery is set for Thurs. Oct. 1/15 between 4:00-5:30 pm at John Taylor.

For any students interested in taking photography for the yearbook, there will be a yearbook photo club meeting in room 309 this Thursday at 12 noon. Please bring a lunch.

The peer support program at teen talk is an exciting volunteer opportunity for teens who are interested in helping others.  Training opportunities will be held this October at Klinic.   If you are interested please pick up a form from Ms. Grant.

ATTENTION ALL GRADE 9 STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED NESS MIDDLE SCHOOL LAST YEAR. Your grade 8 yearbooks will be available for pick up in the Ness Middle School office after school on Wednesday and Thursday.

Anyone interested in playing chess this year is asked to come to Mr. Goetz's room, Room 211 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch. Bring your lunch. The chess club is for anyone, from people wanting to learn the game, to people who are chess masters. Students who are part of the club will have an opportunity to enter tournaments to challenge other players from Winnipeg. So come out to learn a new game or get trained by our chess master himself Mr. Kohler. Maybe you are the next Bobby Fischer. See you Tuesday at lunch in Room 211.

Attention all students, if you are interested in taking part in this year's Youth in Philanthropy Committee, an introductory meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24th at 12:10pm in Ms. Paragg's room, room 109.

Any students who are 18 or over that would like to know more about voting.  Please stop by the guidance counselling office to pick up a voters guide.
