Announcements for December 9, 2014

Please be aware that the rivers, creeks and ponds in the city are not safe due to unpredictable ice conditions.  Extremely cold water and thin ice are extremely dangerous at this time of year and we ask that all parents and teachers remind everyone that the ice is unsafe.  Let's keep everyone safe by making good decisions about our waterways.

Thanks to Pizza Hut for the grad fundraiser which raised $330.00

There will be a GSA meeting today at noon in room 301.

All yearbook students are asked to attend the meeting tomorrow immediately at 12 noon for a team picture. All members are asked to see Mr. Kutcy ASAP to confirm that they are able to make it to the meeting!

All mentors please meet in room 111 tomorrow morning at 8:30.

All students who are looking for volunteer hours, there is a great opportunity with Craig Street Cats.  Interested students, please see the office for volunteer forms.  As well, the annual Assiniboia Sleigh Ride is taking place on Sunday, Dec. 14th and are looking for volunteers to help out with this event.
Any interested students can contact Teresa, at Jim Rondeau’s office at (204) 888-7722.

Great job to the grade 12 students who participated in the Safe Grad Poinsettia fundraiser.  They are being delivered on Dec 11 - please contact Mrs. Palmer if you are willing to assist by volunteering with the distribution.

Attention all graduates.  You are invited to attending a grad committee meeting on Thursday, Dec. 11 @ 12:10.  Location to be determined.

Attention all pipers: We will also begin our collection of food for our Cheer Board and Community Family hampers. Our food drive will run between Monday, Dec.1st - Friday, Dec. 12th.  This year, we are hoping to provide between 12 and 14 hampers to those in need. Please collect these goods in your period 3 classes. If students do not have a period 3 class but would like to join in, they can drop of goods to any classroom.

Please note: Announcements are posted in the front link, on the doors of Gym AB, on the website, on the blog, and on the Parent Portal.
