What is AP?

What is AP? The College Board's Advanced Placement Program (AP) encourages students to pursue University Level studies with the opportunity to earn University credit while still in High School. AP courses give students access to rigorous University level work but with the support of their High School teachers. Students build confidence and learn the essential time management and study skills that will assist them in their post-secondary studies. In addition, students have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the subjects that interest them and develop their research and communication skills. 
John Taylor Collegiate is extremely proud of our AP teachers and students for their accomplishments. This year we would like to acknowledge the following students for their accomplishments as AP Scholars:


John Taylor Collegiate AP Scholar - Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams
Ryan Hrabi
Hailey Ryan

John Taylor Collegiate AP Scholar with Honor -Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams
Dylan Bauer

John Taylor Collegiate  AP Scholar with Distinction -Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exam
Lisa Fetch

John Taylor Collegiate  National AP Scholar -Granted to students in Canada who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on five or more of these exams
Jesse Schmidt
