Attention All 2016 Grads!!  A reminder to come to the office and book your grad photos!  The dates are fast approaching.  There are time slots available for all days starting February 23rd through 26th.  Also, the grad write up slips are also available in the office.

Interested in saving someone's life?  If so, please come to Gym C at lunch hour to include yourself in the global stem cell and bone marrow registry.  Every minute of every day a person is in need of a potentially lifesaving stem cell or bone marrow transplant - and you may be the answer!  If you are 17 years old or older, all it takes is a simple cheek swab and you're on the list! See you at lunch in Gym C!

Art Club starts up again for second semester on Thursday February 18, 3:30 – 5:00.  Everyone is welcome!!  Come out if you need help with an Art Project, a drawing component from another class, or just want to work on a personal project.  Bring a friend!  See Mrs. Franklin for more information.

Term 2 weight room orientation will take place on Tuesday, February 16th. See Mr Bruce or Mr Vermette for more details.

Intramurals this week will be ultimate. Come join us for open gym and sign up a team! Games will start next week.

Attention members of Senior Band- This is a reminder to all members of Senior Band to be in the band room for the Ness Visit in period 5.

Any grade 11 or 12s interested in a career in social work or counselling, are invited to participate in a full-day campus visit day event at Booth University.  Please see the office for further details.

Cafeteria specials today are:  Breakfast on a bun and 2 hashbrowns with a small coffee or hot chocolate for $5.00 and grilled cheese and bacon, soup, salad, or fries for $5.75 for lunch.

Attention Grade 12 Students: 1) It’s time to start planning for life after High School!  Mr. Johnson and Ms. Grant are here to help you with the planning process!  Deadlines are approaching quickly for some programs.  For example if you plan to attend the University of Winnipeg, their entrance scholarship deadline is February 1st.  Stop in the Guidance Room today for more information! 2) Grade 12 students who are interested in attending an open house at U of W, U of M, or Red River during the week of February 16 - 19th should pick up a permission form from the Guidance Office.  Forms need to be returned to Ms. Grant by Monday, February 8th.

Bells will be turned off after announcements this morning and tomorrow morning.

Piper Classic Boys Hockey Tournament was a big success last weekend.  The organizing committee would like to thank all the volunteers and the supervisors that helped out. Could the student volunteers please see Mr. Steeves in the next day?  Again, thank you for all your help.

Shane Bigourdin was a tournament all-star leading the Pipers with 15 goals and several assists, he was the tournament top scorer.  Josh Johnson was third in scoring for the tournament, congratulations boys keep up the good work!

Attention members of Senior Band- This a Reminder for Senior Band members that you need to be in the band room for 2nd period today for the Hedges grade 8 band visit.

Anyone interested in a quick work out after school Monday, Wednesday, Friday meet in gym C at 3:40 pm.

Anyone who is interested in playing club volleyball for the JT Pipers there is a practice this Sunday 3-4:30 pm

The bus for the boys hockey game at noon has been cancelled.  However, there is a game tonight at 6:15 at the IcePlex, all spectators are welcome.

Today’s Breakfast special is a homestyle breakfast with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 hashbrown, toast and coffee for $5.00.  Lunch will be a grilled cheese with bacon and soup, salad, or fries for $5.75
